Family Run
We are a family shipyard and the last remaining boat yard building fishing vessels on the docks of Whitby - a north-east town famous for its links to the fishing and boat building industries.
The Yard has two work sheds (40m x 20m & 20m x 7m), two building berths for new builds, which can accommodate boats up to 25m long x 8m beam.
We also have a dry dock with a capacity of up to 5m draft x 42m long x 10.5 beam.
Parkol Marine
is a productive shipyard situated in the historic fishing port of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Parkol Marine employs around 28 people directly and also engages a number of fishing related sub contracting businesses.
The Yard has a reputation for building successful commercial fishing vessels for the North Sea and UK fishing fleets.
All aspects of boat building and repair are covered by our dedicated staff. We build in steel and aluminium using laser cut parts. The boats are built with pride, from the keel up, exclusively in our Whitby Yard to owners individual requirements.
Parkol continues the Whitby boat building tradition with the skills that have been handed down and has developed into one of the leading trawler building firms in the UK.
